Alhambra Cloaks

I made a set of cloaks to go with my first 'Amazon' outfit, but these are much heavier and richer affairs in deep crushed velvet textures. Available in Blue, Green, Red and Black (not shown) and supplied in the box in tall and short versions.
The cloaks come in three pieces. The back is designed to be worn alone, which shows off the thin sculptie wirework around the neck, and would work in any setting where a cloak is appropriate. Adding the front and hood piece however transforms it into a much more medieval or Gorian piece.
The cloak has considerably more flexible panels than is usual, all set with quite high gravity and stiffness settings, which re-enforces the rich, heavy feel. Folds are pre-rendered and textures set separately for each panel which re-enforces the illusion of deeply folded material. There's a rezzed version at the main store and it's worth inspecting as this is one piece of clothing I've found difficult to do justice to in a photograph.

Panther

I've been considering a Panther outfit for a while, and as the Goth build I'm working on is taking a while to get right I decided to take a look at the style. The outfit came together quite nicely.

This is a set of two Panther outfits, developed along similar lines to the Ankh silks but using a shorter skirt with more panels, changing the textures to fur, leather or bark/vines, and substituting 'natural' motifs, such as stones, leaves and feather, for the tassels. I particularly like the small red flower on the waist bands, which is just two custom sculpties and a sphere prim. I've also used sculpties for the string of agates hanging from the waist band and the two small pouches on the other side of the waist.

Agate Daggers

Daggers are always good sellers, fun to do, and to me always seem to be more an outfit accessory first and a weapon second. I recently came across an excellent Photoshop filter for generating Agate textures, and created this set of daggers around that theme.

The daggers differ quite widely in style and size - from what is really a short sword down to a small knife. All a safezone scripted so work with any compatible system, such as Gor, DCS2 etc. and include sounds and custom animations as well. The names Banrion, Bantiarna, Caili, Ogbhean and Cailleach are various gaelic words around the theme of girl or woman, with Banrion - for the biggest dagger - translating appropriatly as Queen.

Star Silks

And so the last outfit from this 'catch-up' series of posts. I've missed a few things out - most notably a male kilted warrior outfit, the 'Irie Vibes' versions of the amazon and dragonfly clothing created for that popular reggae sim, and some jewelry.

Having two or three vendor stores in Gor sims I'd seen some very minimalist outfits on sale, so the Star silks are my version of this style. Composed almost entirely of custom built sculpties they include a thong, pasties, belly ornament and forehead ornament and apart from the thong should be adjusted to sit just on the skin.

Unlike my previous outfits there's only one version of this, but it's very scripted, with a choice of metal colors, thong colors, thong transparency, bling and shine. Probably not one to walk around in outside a mature sim!

Cyber Armor

After the 'traditional' ankh silks I decided it was about time I did something a little more aggressive. I'd just upgraded all the weaponry to use safezone scripts, adding sounds and animations too, so a cyber warrior seemed in order. The original amazon outfit seemed a good starting point for the skirt so I beefed that up with extra and thicker prims, and the breast plates from the ankh silks seemed to have potential too, so increasing these in size and tooled them up looked nicely effective.

Adding shoulder armor and some beefy boots complemented, and I created a backplate incorporating a modified Highland style sword previously created for a male outfit - safezone enabled of course. The bracers are similar to the ankh outfit, but considerably larger and heavier. Finally a simple visor rounds off the effect.

The armor also comes with a set of different decals that can be changed by command (cross, ankh, skull, tribal, a Celtic loop and Japanese-style flowers), and is available as red, white and black metal/plastic textures. Again the package includes a set of tattoos.

I've had a few requests for a male version of this, and I'll certainly be following that up.

Ankh Silks

The Dragonfly Silks proved pretty popular with the Gor market, so next I decided to go back and build a more 'traditional' silk in character, but incorporating all the tricks I'd learned with the those and the Sorceress skirt. The result was the Ankh silks - these took about 20 hours to put together, including original textures and sculpties.

Like the Dragonfly Silks this outfit is completely prim based. The most difficult part here was the specialized sculpties for the breasts, but after a great many attempts I found a pleasing 3D curve that worked quite nicely and lent itself to constructing the straps on the rest of the halter.
It's not apparent from the image, but there's a great deal of detail around these features with many small prims modeling ties and loops.

For the ankh silks I generated a complete new set of textures, a red, silver, black, blue, yellow and purple. There's also a custom dark green/gold set for one customer that's promised to remain unique. The scripting on these was more extensive too, with scripted show/hide for the ankh feature on the belt, and color changes of all metal features between copper, silver, gold and black. I liked the look of the bracers on previous outfits, but here created new sculptie ones, and although the textures are different the black versions work quite well with the previous outfits too.

My favorite feature on this outfit though isn't the sculpties, but the ultra-simple metal rings around the belt. Oh well...

Sorceress Skirt

I really enjoyed making the belt for the Dragonfly Silks, so decided next to add a little complexity to this. I remodeled the belt to fit a little more snugly around and down against the hips and started hanging prims off it. After some time the result turned out like this.

Lots and lots of prims on this! Fortunately the basic structure - a flexi prim or sculptie curve hanging off a small set of chain links attached to the belt is easy to move around. On my avatar's shape - which is reasonably standard around the hips - the belt fits snugly into the curves. One of my favorite features on this skirt is the small jewel hanging from the waist with a rotating semi-transparent texture.

As previously I textured in my standard color sets and packaged up with tattoos and the halter top and bracers from the Amazon outfit - I did consider selling the skirt alone, but decided that it's always more pleasing to get a complete outfit, so I really look on these additions as freebies for buyers. The Sorceress skirt works particularly well when combined with the top from the Dragonfly silks, and I often wear it like this myself. Personally I really like the blue and gold combination on this skirt - there's something about the row of gold flexi prims hanging from the sides that works for me.
